The website legaldan.co.il is operated by LegalDan, Israel. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and protect information relating to users of the website and software. This policy has been written in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, and Amendment No. 13 to the law.

Information We Collect

The Software (LegalDan Desktop)

The LegalDan desktop software does not collect personal information. The software operates completely locally (offline), without artificial intelligence, and without transferring documents or personal data to external servers. All documents, cases and CRM data are stored solely on the user's computer.

The software performs only two network operations:

  • Update check: When the application starts, a request is sent to legaldan.co.il to check for new versions. The only data transmitted is the current version number. No personal information is sent.
  • License verification: When activating a license key, an encrypted machine identifier (machine ID) is stored in a local file on the user's computer only. This identifier is not sent to any server and is used solely to bind the license to a specific computer.

The Website

The website may collect information voluntarily provided by the user:

  • Contact form: Name, email address and the content of the inquiry.
  • Purchase: When purchasing a license, payment is processed by an external payment provider (Upay). LegalDan does not store credit card details. We receive from the payment provider only the transaction confirmation, customer name and email address for the purpose of sending license keys.

Use of Information

The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Responding to contact form inquiries
  • Sending license keys after purchase
  • Providing technical support to customers

We do not use information for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. We do not sell or transfer personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service we use is Upay for payment processing. Upay is subject to its own privacy policy and complies with payment security standards (PCI DSS). LegalDan does not store, process or access credit card details.

Data Security

LegalDan software operates locally only. There is no document transfer to the cloud, no external servers, and no network communication (except for update checks). The user's legal information is stored on the personal computer only and is protected by AES-256 encryption and the operating system's security mechanisms.

License files are encrypted and secured with digital signatures (HMAC-SHA256) to prevent tampering.

Data Retention and Deletion

Contact information is retained for one year only and deleted thereafter. Purchase details (name, email, license keys) are retained for technical support purposes for the duration of the license. Users may request deletion of their data at any time.

Children's Privacy

LegalDan is intended for professional use by adults (age 18 and above). We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that information has been collected from a user under 13, we will delete it immediately.

User Rights

In accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, every user has the right to:

  • Review information stored about them
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of their data
  • Object to the processing of their data

Cookies

The website makes minimal use of cookies for functional purposes only, such as saving accessibility preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

LegalDan reserves the right to update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be published on the website and in software updates.
